Total Immersion Experiences in Painting, Drawing and Sculpting

Ryan Peterson   View work ryankpeterson.com >
We are fortunate to have Ryan (BFA, University of Utah, 1993) available to teach at our workshop this year. He has been working in the film industry as a sculptor and designer for the past 14 years. Film credits include X-men 3, Spiderman, Men in Black, Mission Impossible, and Jumanji. His knowledge of sculpting and his infinite imagination coupled with Paul Davis’ knowledge of drawing and human anatomy promise to make this workshop very exciting.

Statement:
“As a boy, I drew dinosaurs.  As a teenager, I sculpted monsters. As a college student, I was introduced to the principle of fine art.  Now, I am in love with ideas. But I have not lost my youthful passions and can incorporate  fine art skills to realize these ideas. Whether I am designing bizarre creatures in Hollywood or exploring subconscious imagery as a sculptor and painter here in my home state of Utah, it’s living in the realm of imagination and creativity that I find so rewarding as an artist.”
