The workshop will focus on presenting a strategy to paint out doors-in any light and with any subject matter. We will start with compositional ideas, then value studies and then, finally, add color (nuts and bolts exercises). As the week progresses, we will move on to methodologies that I use in my work -value, tint, color. I will talk about brush stroke direction, size, and hierarchy. We will practice absolute color and relative color.
